Today on Mike: I've decided I'm going to do a redesign.

Right now. Without many graphics.

Today on Mike: class readings

So, as it turns out (and I'm not surprised), the notes from class that Danny has posted are really, really interesting; mentally stimulated. I already have a list of questions I want to ask at the next office hours, even after bombing the test tomorrow (which I fully expect to do).

I don't know why I have so much trouble going to class. Actually. It's probably because I'm not awake and functioning.

Today on Mike: Yes I can.

I am going to start studying. I'm going to go to all of my classes. Starting now.

Today on Mike: CSC236H: Term Test 2

As much as I've tried to get on top of things in this course, I haven't. I need to be honest. It's only fair. There is no point in lying to myself. I do want to do well in this course. I just, haven't been scheduling the time that it deserves. All of my classes. I just, fell behind. I'm going to do what I need tonight, as much as I need to. And I'm going to get this together. Starting now, with the notes. I'm going to get caught up. Starting first with the 8 hours a week that we agreed to on the first day of class.

Today on Mike: CSC207H Assignment 2, a2.java

As I mentioned here, I want to start talking about my projects. This might be pushing it since it's not yet due yet, but I think I can talk about my progress without giving away too many details. I also hope it will help me figure out certain blocks I've hit.

The information on the assignment can be found here: CSC207H: Assignment 2

I finished my Tag class the other day when I started. I just need to go back when I have time (probably this weekend) to make sure it works for tags like <a href="whatever"> and <a href = "whatever">

I finished my TagIterator the same day. Then I worked out some kinks in it that I was unaware of the day after. And I left it for a day. Tonight, as I went to just check something for fun, I found out I had left a major error in the code. I think I fixed it, but in doing so what was once nice clean code is now very complicated. But it works - for sure. I'm going to go through it again and do all the commenting. I know you're supposed to comment when you write the code, but I like to use writing the comment as a chance to think about exactly what the code is supposed to do vs what my code is actually doing when I have a fresh mind.

And finally, the big problem: the a2 class. Because I'm confused about how to actually implement checking the websites, I don't know how I'm going to write this. I plan on going to Jim's office hours tomorrow to ask him. In the mean time I'm going to sleep, wake up and study for csc236h's term test on Friday, and approach validating the code as if I only had to validate one page. I'm thinking stacks.
