Oakville Productivity

I am at my parent's house for the next little bit. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow regarding the restraightening and then whitening of my teeth. This trip has been one strange hurdle after another. I phoned my dad this morning to ask him if he could drive me home with him when he's done work so I wouldn't have to take the train. He said sure, and that he was leaving at 2pm because he had a doctor's appointment. So I left to be at the bottom of his building at 2. When I get there, I phone him and he gets confused.

"Oh I was talking about driving you home tomorrow." A lot of good that does me. My appointment is at 9am. I also told him that on the phone. So I walked to Union to take the train home. My mother gets an hour and a half warning, and is still late. Then the internet doesn't work. So I have to fix it – again. The problem with fixing the internet at my parents' house is that my brother bought a dlink router, and I have a macbook. Dlink tried to idiot proof their routers, making it not work with our already non-idiot system. It also has windows software to run the network. It was frustrating, and time consuming, but I did it. Now I'm going to put a password on so no one can change it.

Fifty Years Young

Today my mother turned 50. I'm sure it's a bigger deal for her than me. What was the big deal for me was the surprise part that was thrown for her. Or more importantly how drunk we all got at the surprise party. There are moments that I don't exactly remember. Always a great sign.
